Which adapter 2x AF should I get ?? and where ?

Hi all

I already have tamron 1.4x AF adapter. I use it on my Tamron 70-200 f2.8.

Now, I wanted to try a 2x AF adapter.

Which one to get ? where ?

Thanks in advance for the hints

The only 2x adapter I use is the 2X-L for my Pentax A* 300mm f2.8.
Every other I have tried has been rubbish apart from the Pentax 1.7X.

Sorry for the delay
Only now I saw this request.

I didn't had time yet to test it properly.
I will get back to this thread as soon I can do it

Hey netuser,

since i also have the DA* 300, i am very interessted in this teleconverter.

The birds look quite sharp. Such a good quality,
In some way i find the bokeh in pictures 2 and 3 a bit confusing.

Does Autofocus work when the teleconverter is attached?
How many stops do i lose?

When you use converter 1.4 with DA300/4 you get 400/5.6 with autofocus. If you use a 2x conmverter like I did, you will get a 600/8 but no autofocus. The shots were on manual

About the bokeh, I aalso agree. Might have also to do with the fact rocks are wet fom salt water and cristals shine because of the sun...

It's auto focus. I use it for instance with tamron 70-200 2.8

You loose the hability to have AF because 300/4 with the converter is 600/8 and because of that no AF is possible on camera body.

Haha you mean MF will be much faster than its "AF" at that time
