Making Room for K-7 Has Begun :-)

Yep,

Found my Ds's and took batteries out cleaned them up (they are in "mint condition" though), and will put them on Craigs list tomorrow.

Also went through my lens collection and decided it's time for me to let some of them go. I will keep the couple of manual macros and the 135 f2.5 but for some of the slower and non auto zooms, it's time to say goodbye.

I decided to keep my two K10D's as these are a step up from the DS's, they are fine for catalog and product shots as well as some of architectural and nature stuff I do. The SR is a plus for me and that was one of the deciding factors.

Anybody else cleaning out the closet ?

No, all is on Craig's List list now.

BTW - I'm of the feeling that this new camera will be bring major life into the Pentax name, and if they keep to their core principals of small high quality cameras and user friendly features, they just may own a good sized market share very shortly.

Just a thought.

Why didn't you list it here in the marketplace.

Thread moved to Everything Else Forum. This is not Pentax News.

K10D's going too !

Just made up my mind ---- I'm selling my K10D's besides my DS's.

K20D is a major upgrade in the iso department and I can use that. That is the one reason I kept the DS's as they were good in low light.

Will get K20D's to replace them, along with K-7 when it is out.

Done :-)

Just bought 2 K20D's and four 8GB class 6 high speed cards.

Have one DS sold and interest in K10D's.

Will post again on CL Thur and then what is not sold goes on e-bay.

I'd agree, why is this being dangled here and not offered to the membership?

I Can't Believe it !

I received my K20D's today and set them up - took a couple of hours playing around, and ...

The K20D IMHO is far superior to my old K10D's !

The colors are far brighter, the DR is way better, Images seem crisper, it has a x - sync socket, has a higher JPEG quality level (premium), most settings are +-4, very good high iso and very sharp - letting YOU decide how much noise reduction you want. I love the image processing method, I set it to bright and then tweaked to my liking - very, very cool.

I did not use my K10D's on any concert stuff cause higher iso was miserable IMHO. My K20D's will be used in low light situations as higher iso is far better than my little DS's, which was pretty good.

BTW - I loaded ver 1.03 firmware as soon as I received the cameras and these babies purr right along.

I'm very happy.
