Show of your handholdable prowess

Actually did this for another reason but thought I'd throw it up here. Who confident hand holding at low shutter speeds. I've got another shot taken at 1/8th with a 85mm Nikkor that I reckons deadly sharp, so I'll claiming it's not the Pentax SR, just me

Cheers, Nige.

OK .. it's 1/15 of a second ... but not too bad for me really ... I had ISO up on the K10D (not the best thing to do really) ... it was taken in a dark room (no flash).

K10D + Super Takumar 55m f/1.8

SR vs ME at 1second, damn, I lost. But not by much. Might be able to salvage image on the right by running it trough focus magic.
Cheers. Mike.

Between the caffeine and the adderall, I'm lucky to do one-over-focal-length even with SR turned on...

Here's a shot at 1/10" with an S-M-C Takumar 35/2. Not super impressive considering the Pentax SR was working, but this shot is still quite sharp (albeit noisy due to low light and ISO800 on K200D)

And one more at 1/4" with an SMC Pentax 17/4 FE. The super wide angle makes it a little easier. Note that the wind was also blowing quite hard in this picture, making it even more difficult as since I was standing and catching quite a bit of the wind.

200mm at 1/10s, 100% crop. ISO? Around 20000 I guess.

This is handheld at 1/4 sec with a 55mm f2 Takumar taken on a near 0 deg. F day. It shows a little motion blur at 100% crop but a usable snapshot. My shivering and the SR must have been in sync. I took a couple others at the same time with a tripod and I surprised myself that this one looked as good as it does.

I'm the worst handholder of the bunch.
Here's the reason I bought a tripod and ballhead....to bad I didn't use them:-(. I would have, the setup was in the truck but I had no time to set it up and get the shot. Instead, I was braced pretty good on the hood of the truck but still blew the shot, maybe I drink to much coffee, I don't know. My only excuse... DA* 300/4+Tamron 1.4X@ f5, 1/30sec, ISO 400. Others seem to be able to do it......

Ok, here's my favorite for this topic. This is one from a sequence of about 3 or 4 shots:

300mm (in macro mode)
F6.3
1/250 sec
ISO 400

Not really evident in the posted image but at full res, I can see myself and the ridgeline behind me reflected in the bird's eye. I was shocked and stoked.
