Thanks for the info. K20ds. 2 generation old cameras.

Just proves that it's what's behind the lens that really makes the difference.

I'm keeping your blog readily available on my computer and ipad for naysayers.
Agreed. a good percentage of all the gearhead fixating here (and I'm guilty myself sometimes) is nothing needed for good results. Exceptions for me would be I want a K5 because I shoot in very low light frequently and my K7 is decent but not stellar. I manage though
But Benjikan is on a whole other level of talent compared to most of us (heck most togs in general)
I always like what he does, while never wanting to do that type of thing myself

I think you should say <the photographer> makes all the difference (behind the lens is the camera ). I'm sure he can shoot with a *iSTD and we will still see amazing results.

Great job, Ben!
Hmmm, I wonder if I edit the original it'll show up wherever quoted.

"It's the photographer that makes all the difference."

Thanks.

(I still hate those new smilies)

Fantastic! What lens(es) do you use? Is that hazy/flare look from off camera lighting or is it PP

You guys are something nowadays. You got to put down the still cam in between shoots and make a video for Utube as well.

Outstanding work!

Impressive. Thank you for sharing.

A good argument to prove that you CAN be professional with Pentax equipment.

Is that a standard K-5 that is used?
There is no questipon that Pentax can produce pro results. The problem with Pentax is that pro photogs can't get a timely supply of enuf gear. Look at how we have to beat the bush to find an odd lens or two. And we are just one small community. That is a pro-buster with Pentax...not the pro-quality IQ.

Most of the lenses a pro would want to use with a Pentax exist already, especially in my metier of the business. My K5's can easily compete with most of the stuff out there. Looking forward to the next generation, which could be interesting.

What's really important is the lighting, talent and processing. At low ISO the K20D is an excellent performer.
Without my team of exceptionally talented people my work would not be what it is and yes the K20D at 100 iso is absolutely amazing! I use it like one would use film in the past. For a certain look. For my next shoot I want that K5 look. I may use my K10D for another look, etc...

Oh... and I just press the shutter...

Well, however and whoever and whatever allows you to get those sorts of photographs, thank you for providing them and giving me (and hopefully others) inspiration as to what can be achieved.

There is always something to shoot for (no pun intended) in this game.

Ben,

Thanks for sharing your excellent work with us.

I was reading through the staff credits, and noticed Benoît Tremblay is your photo assistant. I'm curious what work a photo assistant does for you?

Again, thank!

I managed to find Ben's (or is it Bernie's?) FT feature. Very classy shooting.

thanks for that, I'll pass it on to the guys who were in Ben's band in the 70's

I think Jeanne is a far better fashion report er than she was music reporter myself , she really came into her own with fashion. for those of you in the Us she used to do a Music show with John (JD) Roberts of Fox - damn I can't believe he's on fox WTF was he thinking (yep he's canadian)
