Next desired enthusiast/prosumer camera from Ricoh Pentax

There has been a lot of talk surrounding Ricoh's next move with Pentax and what higher end users are after.
This poll serves to ask the members of this fine forum what camera they would like to see come out next, rather than the best camera Pentax should release to better the brand. Ideally, these two should be the same, but personal preference is what this poll is about, and members should feel free to express why it is they voted the way they did.
Some may be interested in buying more than one camera, but what is the first camera you would want?

Apologies for neglecting to mention those looking for a P&S or bridge camera. This poll is not intended to suggest any elitism, just an opinion of a desired higher-end camera from Pentax.

Haha. Like!
APS-C with even more impressive specs to the K-5 II would be good, though the K-5 II is pretty awesome as is.
I'd easily pick two as well dane.dawg, but what is the most pressing camera to get into your arsenal?
If I made the poll allow for more than one answer, there'd be less useful information coming out of it.
Dominic, you're after an advance to K-01 with an EVF adapter and slightly smaller body?

Entry level FF camera, whether SLR or MILC, accompanied by a prosumer/pro FF camera of similar stock.

The entry level (priced muuuuch cheaper then competition) to draw fresh blood to the Pentax fold, the pro camera to make the existing customers happy.

If I had the cash I'd buy both as a backup/main combo.

From all reports, the K-5IIs is going to be hard to top, but a move to a 24MP APS-C DSLR would be the obvious way to do so, along with incremental improvements in AF.

However, to stay in the game, Pentax needs a 35mm sensor body, first and soon. Never mind the paucity of current lenses, there's enough to be going on with, maybe with one kit zoom added, say a 28-200, preferably an f4.

Sony did this with their first digital FF - didn't work out so well for them. Pentax doesn't usually do things by halves. Even their entry level dSLRs have been full featured. A digital K1000 of sorts might raise some eyebrows but practically speaking, would it be enough of a camera to sell and perform to expectations. Just having features like SR, SAFOX X AF, big buffer with fast continuous frame rate and short shutter lag, WR and LV won't be cheap to make in a FF camera. Why not go full hog and produce a single full-featured FF camera?

Ricoh have this in mind, they're just not forthcoming with any plans or announcements...

They'd need a FF dual kit lens first (something like 28-80 and 70-300), then implement their more specialised zoom and prime lenses with time.

I would have chosen 'FF anything so long at it takes K-mount even with adapter'

You missed another option "The best chest thumping camera in the World- so long as I'm not the sucker who pays for it"

Ended choosing "FF MILC"
Surprised myself too with this choice since I think EVF tech and refresh rates are is still not there yet.
But then, focus peaking will be very beneficial to my MF lenses; CDAF is already more accurate than PDAF on the K30; and I'd like to see Pentax gain market share with a FF MILC that can adapt other brand's lenses.

Good points pinholecam.
K-mount to me is a given. Pentax doesn't need another mount. Q is a good small format mount, the 645 a solid MF mount, and the K-mount can be developed into a FF format as is.
PDAF shouldn't be less accurate than CDAF, just a little slower. Wouldn't there be scope to develop PDAF to be faster, as with the more sophisticated higher end Nikons?
And dSLRs can implement CDAF in their LV mode.

I'm interested to see the proportion of users after APS-C vs FF vs MF and then between MILC vd dSLR.
Already we are seeing a significantly greater proportion of people seeking a dSLR as their next model, but even more interestingly is the equal proportion of FF and APS-C.

I would say APS-C because that's what I need now if I were planning to upgrade in the next few to couple years. However I went ahead and voted for 35mm SLR FF due to the fact that I will be keeping my K-5 until it breaks, and it probably won't until I need an FF which is in another 5-7 years; And the sooner Pentax releases an FF, the cheaper that FF model will be when I will be able to actually replace my K-5.

The K-02 should have a built-in EVF, be as good-looking as the Q, with a magnesium body, and the K-mount.

Important:

NO touchscreen

&

NO tiltscreen

I am open for slight stylistic innovations, as long as they promise me to never ever let Marc Newson into the house again.
