When is the next possible Big Announcement date?

OK, so we have:

Oct 4-6 / PHOTOFAIR St. Petersburg / Ricoh Pentax in the list of participants
Oct 23-26 / PhotoPlus International Expo + Conference | Trade Show, October 24-26, 2013 | PhotoPlus Expo / Neither Pentax nor Ricoh in the Exhibitor List, AFAICT
Nov 7-11 / Salon de la Photo / "Pentax Ricoh" present in the "liste des exposants"

Only one of those is within a month (to fit with Adam's post)... but does that event have enough "marquee" for a major Pentax Ricoh, err, Ricoh Imaging announcement? Any others?

Otherwise it's into 2014, right?

Jan 8-10 / PMA / Los Angeles
Feb 13-16 / CP+ / Yokohama

ps: I don't know much about these conferences as I'm not an industry analysts or even an old photography buff. I'm just doing Web searches out of curiosity, to do my part here in this thread...

They don't seem to announce things, they release them. At about once a month pace. I'd figure a week into October we will hear something that will set them up for the end of the year offerings.

My guess would be an announcement in October with release begininning of November -- plenty of time to ramp up for the holiday season in December. It would be crazy for them to wait to January to release anything they have on tap.

So guesses so far are converging towards PHOTOFAIR St. Petersburg, in early October. And the Russians had the new firmware first too... Makes sense!

On the other hand, everyone seemed to be holding their breadth for early September, so maybe we're just forever hoping for the next possible date... Allright, I'll put my guess in. Assuming nothing comes tomorrow in Australia (thanks Franc), then I'd say new flagship APS-C in St. Petersburg, and new mirrorless full frame at CP+ in Yokohama next February.
