+1! What jumps out IMHO: HCB's minimal kit, and his strict discipline. And his personality, of course. A good role-model, eh? Except that I carry too much stuff. And that sort of film discipline is no longer needed, thankfully.

Back in the day, I used to hand-load 135 carts from bulk reels because that was REAL CHEAP -- and it guaranteed consistency amongst carts. Luckily, I could always do the (un)loading in a darkroom, without need for changing bag and reel cases. The changing bag was always in my carry-bag, in case field surgery was needed. I guess Leicas never jam, eh?
