Watching, waiting for what finaly I thought would be a good deal on ebay. I end up being stupid thinking no one else will bid. I go cheap and end up losing buy a few bucks. This guy who won got a good deal I think.

eBay: Pentex SF10 35 mm Camera w/50mm lens & manual (item 320078741283 end time Feb-09-07 17:06:58 PST)

I was not hoping for the camera.

Not a bad deal at all, but I bet the winning bidder entered a higher maximum bid than what he won the camera for...

The camera isn't half as interesting as the lens, but from my experience, most lenses sold in sets aren't in good shape

I think this one ended up being a good deal - eBay: Pentax Wide Angle SMC P-FA* 24mm f/2.0 AL IF Lens (item 300077152765 end time Feb-08-07 17:00:00 PST)

even with a few scratches on the rear element.. thats around 1/2 of what they have been going for recently.

You have no idea what his upper bid was. Given that the F50/1.7 has been going for $175 and up, it's probably safe to assume "just a few dollars more" would not have gotten it. Not to mention a fairly recent film body (not that anyone uses film anymore).

I'm so glad I found my replacement F50/1.7 at KEH about a month before prices went nuts. I got mine for about $75 in BGN condition, which meant it was nearly new.

your all probably right. Better off getting the 1.4 anyway. But I will still be on the lookout for either.

That is a bargain. I might change my mind about my current bidding on a similar item.

That seller specifically excluded bidders from outside the U.S. By doing that he limited what he could have gotten.

thats why i watch everything on ebay im bidding on like a hawk. sometimes then i still dont win
