I wouldn't really mind it if the guy was getting all excited over the 'usefullness' of the COLOR of the camera body. The point needn't even be made, that there is no reason NOT to get excited about something if you really want it. Right?
I tend to think about high iso power like this:
Take the D3 with iso 25,600. Let's say you are at a wedding reception, and you want to shoot some natural light. I think the camera with the power to resolve images at really high iso's might have a better chance of resolving a nice image at 3200 iso.
I would rather use the cam that is shooting at 3200 in the proverbial second or third gear, than use a cam that is maxed out at 3200.
Just my philosophy.
So, about the new gear coming out...
If there is a Canon 50D coming out, Pentax might parallel that with a K30D eh?, but I think it's too soon for a 30 isn't it?
And Nikon's most recent release is the D700.
I'm hoping Pentax pulls a FF out of their arse. (and I'm just as excited about that as I am going to be about the color...just because I CAN)
