Adam has kindly allowed me to set up a
"Lets Help Mel replace her Stolen Takumars" drive.
In case you haven't heard, Mel's car was broken into and her family was robbed the other day while they were on vacation. Among the many things they lost was her treasured collection of older lenses. Besides a whole bag of assorted misc gear she lost...

Adam has said that if you wish to donate you can do so thru the regular forum donation system. If you do that, please PM me with the amount you donated so I can let him know how much was directed toward this effort (since there is no dedicated mode for "other" donations).
If you do not wish to use paypal, or wish to donate an amount that is not listed in the forum's donation system, you can mail a check made out to "Melanie Beus" directly to me and I will make sure she gets it. Send such donations to...

Of course, if you have a spare TAK laying around that you'd like to donate (or even sell cheap) let me know and I guarantee she will put it to good use. You can ship these to Mel c/o me at the address listed above.
Mel is one of the nicest people on the forum and this would be a great way of showing her how much we appreciate her.
Mike
p.s. Mel had no idea that I was doing this. It just struck me that it'd be a nice way to help one of our own and help relieve the damage done. This isn't charity, it's just a helping hand to a friend who's been dealt a crumby hand.
