K-5 slow image processing

I need a little help.

I have a K-5 that seems to take too long to process the image after the picture is taken. Once I take a picture, it takes from 3 to 5 seconds for the image to show up on the screen. If I take several quick shots, the problem is compounded to 20 to 30 seconds before the images show up.

I am shooting in JPEG right now, highest resolution. I'm not using any filters. I have tried several different SD cards from 1 GB to 8 GB, all with the same delay.
Has anyone else seen this? What do I do about it? Am I missing a setting?

turn off distorsion correction and CA correction, by pressing the "info" button.

All post processing done by the body take a lot of time to process, and is not necessary most of time.

The distortion correction was off, but the lateral chromatic ab was on.
Much better now.

When I first got my K-7 I messed with the settings for a while before I really knew how the camera worked. When I gave the high speed shooting a try I couldn't take more than 2-3 shots before the camera froze up trying to process them. Turning these settings off returned the camera to normal function, but for an hour or so I was panicky that my brand new K-7 was broken!
