Emptiness. A metaphor...

I thought to show you our ice brakes in their summer park, as I happened to be walking in the area and I've never shot them. Impressive ships that keep our harbors running during the winter.




But little later I noticed this shadow and think it's kind of cute and little different, so I go with it today.

A tragic one today. Back in April a teenage girl was found dead near this bridge. She had taken her own life. The problem is people are so very good at hiding things. My son had an eating disorder through his teens, it was a form of anorexia my wife and i didnt have a clue. Thankfully things didnt get this bad but in so many cases it does and as a parent you spend the rest of your days blaming yourself for something that was expertly hidden. This was such a dreadful, tragic waste. These were some of the tributes paid by her friends.

Here I live in the near suburbs of the 4th largest city in the U.S. and I have donkeys just a mile from my house. These two are members of a herd (?) of about 25 to 30.
