Well this month I am using the 17mm f4 Takumar fisheye

Happy New Year!

After family commitments, I managed to sneak away and take a few shots.

My theme for the month is Takumar! If I close my eyes, I can imagine using my Spotmatic again...

I will try to post as many shots as I can.

Here's a touch of summer, and below is a resolution test for the Tak35.

Summer rolls on; temps in high 30s; public holiday, so down to the beach.

A strange day actually as cold upwelling in the nearshore waters resulted in some fog formation that in turn produced an unusual light. This beach is narrower than usual too because the persistent NE swell has generated currents that take a lot of the sand south to the other end of the bay. Minor crop and turned the colour intensity down a bit - I think I've got a few surprises ahead of me with this lens.

This was a surprise. It was too cold to stand outside and freeze to see fireworks, but nice and warm in my living room Shot through glass using SMC F 35-80mm 1:4-5.6:

Day 1: and I didn't get outside today. This is part of a Christmas present given to me by my niece. Tomorrow I'll shoot more of it.



Shot with the Sears 135mm f2.8 with three closeup lenses attached. Not much DOF with this lens either.

I'm back and I hope that this time I can make it through the whole month without another computer problem. *knocks on wood* I have recently formatted and reinstalled Windows for the third, and hopefully final, time on my computer.

But now on to the photo...
This month I have decided to use my DA 40mm XS f/2.8.




This is my sister's cat, Fancy, playing with a laser pointer with her other cat, Belle, in the background.
I made minor adjustments and added a vignette in Lightroom.

Still deciding to go with the FA31 or the Q-K adaptor for the month, so I've hedged my bets.

Here's one with both; I think I had the aperture ring on the adaptor on about 2, so probably about f4.5. Suddenly the Diva is a macro lens!
