Lookit at all the lego minifigs! That's 5x the collection I ever had, and I was into it enough that I've got a lego tattoo.
The branches do a good job with the second pic, adding flavour and interest. Fantastic sky, there, too, and great colour in the bricks.
Is that last one an HDR? It doesn't have that sea-sick quality they so often seem to. Well, at least mine do. Anyway, it's good that you can make out the graffiti at the far end as you can with the middle, it adds verisimilitude.

Thanks for the all too kind comments guys!
I had it in HDR all on auto for the various settings. I took a couple of single shots and they exceeded the dynamic range because of the strong sunlight. I get what you say a out weird colour looking HDR pictures. That is what has been keeping me away from them in the first place, but I guess that what it basically do is to expand on the DR. If I look at the histogram in the HDR jpeg, it just touches the ends. Nice tool to have in the bag I guess :-)

Thom Hogan has a brief write-up on a technique to blend just two photos to get better DR,
using layers
. I'd have to have a more detailed description before trying it myself...

I am sad to say that I won't be updating the thread any longer since my workload is preventing me from giving this the attention it deserves. Thanks for looking at the thread my friends! And I hope to see you soon.

Sorry you have to step out but I can relate. If it's not household, it's workload these days. We will miss you and hopefully you will be back for another round when life allows. Take care!

It is hard, these days.
Mari and I were talking about the situation in Japan and about its impact on us .. we're in a position where we might get caught up in a bureaucratic holding pattern for ten months just to see whether our application to sponsor her will .. start. Until that time, she can't work, has no health coverage (so no second child for now) and of course she'd have to pay full fare for University if she wanted to try that. But Japan's situation came into because, obviously, there's little sense in the two of us returning to look for work in that country when I was unable to find work during 2010. When we enumerated all of the disasters in the past few years it was easy to sum up: we're living in difficult times.
Do what you must, Zorglub!

A great pity, your album was looking so good.
Actually, you've done enough to to get an honourable mention (if not star-billing) in our latest Single in book.

Too bad Torben, but if life gets in the way, that's the way it is.
