Beenleigh Entertainment Centre - the fresh paint job drew me in while I was parked over the road. You may have guessed that the palms are in fact much straighter than they appear. Tried correcting them but it cut too much off the photo - I'd have needed to get back a bit more to do that:

Midday sun and dark shade. About as bad light as possible, but I wanted this shot, so I made it happen. Single shot and heavy PP on C1. The HDR sliders it has can do miracles.

In Finland we have an Restaurant Day when people make pop up restaurants and cafe's in homes, parks, streets or some other public or privet area. My son and wife has held cafe on our carport and front yard for several years now. My son is the driving force behind this hobby and every year he's baking more and more of the pastry. This year I think he was involved in almost all baking.

'69 Dodge Dart 'Swinger'. Two landscape frames stitched in Photoshop. Usually it's pretty much impossible* to get a shot without someone walking into the frame at these car shows and there was a couple who was walking around this car. When they were at the front I shot the rear half and when they walked to the back of the car I shot the front and then stitched the frames into a panorama.

*Several years ago at a car show I was shooting very long exposures using an ND filter and told a Canikon user that Pentax had a special setting that removed people from the images and showed him the picture. He believ was suitably impressed with Pentax..... I'll probably be sent to Perdition for that but the look on his face was worth it.

Entrance to the underground train station, rather quiet at 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon. The odd angles to the curve on the roof make it look like it's not straight but it is.

Not even sure of the name of this plant but I'll find out soon.
