Saturday morning family time at the stables today. Too bad it was raining, so we had to stay indoors and it's really poorly lit. By the open doors there was a little more light, but the natural and lamp light don't really mix well. Also had to push ISO further than K5 can really handle, but it's ok if I keep the size small enough

Going a little abstract here. Also getting re-acquainted to autofocus after several months of manual focus.

K-3 + DA* 50-135.

New month, new lens. Miranda MC 24mm f2.8 macro (KA mount) on my K3. It was the first manual focus lens I bought and when I did I loved it. It has however been neglected over the last year or so because I had other new toys. I am really looking forward to using it, mainly because I want to see what i can get from it now I am better at photographying [sic]


This is an old lighthouse near Heysham harbour in NW england. This was one of the first things I photographed two years ago when I got my K30. It flagged up the fact that its previous owner had never cleaned the sensor, it was manky! As for the light house, I haven't processed it much, the rocks actually are this colour. Side note, near this lighthouse stump is half moon bay where there is a big sign warning of unexploded bombs. It seems one or two have been washed up of late and, being 75 years old, they are a bit twitchy!

Pottering around at home today doing the things I have been putting off all holiday. And playing with the M 35-70 f2.8-3.5 on the K3. It makes quite a hefty combination.

Our Rose of Sharon Bush continues to bloom. This is taken with the Theta SC and output with a tiny planet projection from the Theta Android app. I did do some minor editing in Lightroom. And yes this lens love purple fringing. I tried to tone it down but started getting a green rim on the flower, so though it was best to leave that alone.

Back again. Seeing how long I can last. Life is pretty hectic at the moment. But the lure of my shiny new KP begs for me to share its awesomeness.

In with the K-3ii and the M 50mm F4.0 Macro. I picked it up in August and have been waiting to shoot with it.

Great expressive eyes ,well isolated, the photo was marked as private in flikr so I couldn't comment there

Going with the 31 this month. Been in an abstract kinda mood lately so expect a lot of bokeh! Also enjoying using extension tubes a lot.

This month it going to be the Helios 44K-4. So, to start with, some snowberries.
