Well I went off at 4:30 am for a 100 mile bike ride. Not really feeling the photo bug as my body is tired, then I lay down , looked up and saw this shot for today's vertical theme. We live in a mud brick home and some of the support poles are raw timber trees unmilled.

One week in and I am really liking this lens , any faults seem more to my abilities than the lens

For Pepperberry farm. Here is our friends' fox red Labrador, photographed with the Takumar 200/3.5. And below, he's posing with a quince. (EDIT...oh, themes, OK I'll get with the program next time, and vertical ears and front legs will have to do today.)

Verticals tilted. Somebody else had the same Idea so I included him. Cropped quite a bit to accentuate the photographer and the verticals turned diagonal. Carl Zeiss Jena DDR Tessar 50/2.8

EDIT: It seems that IQ problems I had at infinity were simply user error. Camera shake I'd say. Shots from this morning taken with tripod were perfectly fine.

No verticals captured today, ah well! The Schneider 135mm is really nice. The minimum focus distance of 2m is a pain but I am starting to see stuff i can possibly take with the focal length. Trouble is, I am also seeing loads of things that would be great on wide angle. OK, two barges and a bum crack. The first barge was just there, and I liked it. On the second the cat in the hat was doing a radio interview and the statue in the garden is just plain weird!

No verticals for me either that worked out good. I took some but they didn't turn out good. So you get a horizontal of some flowers we get every year from our rain tree.

Hopefully this is vertical enough for theme day ... very rainy day here, so I got what I could.
