First bad day with the Takumar 200/3.5.
Spent far too long trying to rescue photos that I should have binned. Very little looked interesting, and what did look good - I scr*wed up the settings while shooting. The lens is an unforgiving beast. Even our local VW Beetle (one of my stalwarts when inspiration is lacking) seemed boring through 200mm. So I went out at lunch and took what I consider to be this gratuitous fenced Friday snap by the office car park. Maybe try the extension tubes this week-end.

Another Statue that was just unveiled. It is a 4 meter high image of a child. I used the Brenizer method for this perspective. It consists of five pics. Sadly not enough for more isolation from its surroundings. A longer lens with more shots would have worked better I think. I had to shoot it from this pov because of the sun, which gives a dramatic effect. Carl Zeiss Jena DDR Tessar 50/2.8

Rain and 40mph winds today. Managed a short walk around the block when I got home as there was a brief dry spell.
Showroom condition VW microbus. K3 with Pentax A 50/1.7
And Simon isn't the only one with round bokeh, although his is more consistently impressive...

Bit of a grey day today I also grabbed a couple of shots between the showers. In the first I like the separation and in the second I am baffled as to a) what the lion is doing to the sheep and ii) what their offspring will be called (and I don't mean Dennis and Maureen)

I've had my K-3ii for three-plus years, and today was my first attempt at pixel shift images. To tell the truth, it's hard to tell. The second and third images are 100% crops, the first of the pixel shift image, the second taken a few seconds later without pixel shift. Maybe the old Auto Chinon 50 f/1.9 isn't up to the resolution of a 24 Mpix sensor and pixel shift.
