Some sun thru the clouds, so an attempt at landscape. I don't believe I've ever boosted colors as much as today. I don't think I take an other try at shooting against the sun with this lens.

There's a century-old church on the way to work. I thought it would be a good test for this lens at 19mm. Vivitar Series 1 19-35mm f/3.5.

Took a Kooky in the morning.

Nasty chromatic aberration here, and Kooky appears rather cut-out too (despite not much clarity or anything excessive. Shadows lightened quite a bit I suppose)

I shot this (or similar) in October with my SMC Takumar 135/3.5, and in September with my DA50-200.

The Tak remains the clear winner for me, but this came out well too.

I was planning a leisurely lunch-hour taking photos. It didn't work out that way. I had to resort to my usual fall-back: Tavistock Square. This is a close-up of the bust of Virginia Woolf (K-3, K50/4 macro).

This photo was taken in a japanese garden this mid day, F6.3, 1/250 sec, 100 iso (DA 35mm f2.4) (no Flickr account yet)

My shot from the 2nd was taken at a knife show, and I alluded to taking a trip to the smithy afterwards. This is what I'm up to: my first attempt at making a knife. it's all done by hand from raw materials - including steel from an old file, a circular saw blade and an automotive leaf spring. After three sessions and many man-hours, there are a few more processes to go. I should have it finished when I next visit the workshop - hopefully on the weekend.

K28/2.0 on the K-1 Mark II. Hand held using live view for CDAF/focus peaking.
