As promised, I finished my Nakiri today, but first, the unfinished theme shot.

K28/2.0 on the K-1 Mark II. I can't for the life of me remember what aperture it was set to, but I'm going to guess wide open or close to it.

My rider had an unlucky hit to gate during the last training camp and the metal layer on the top cracked wide open. As we weren't able to press the layer back to original shape, I decided to remove it altogether, so it wouldn't gather snow and keep on enlargening the gap. Now I just need to figure out how to fill the remaining opening to make it watertight and pretty.

We went to an exhibition by a Sheffield artist called Joe Scarborough this morning. This is a work called Unfinished. K1 with Super Takumar 55/2.



We were lucky that Joe was showing some friends around the exhibition and we discretely tagged along listening which was fascinating. This is a finished piece.

Well, I guess I did not read carefully the contest rules. I just remembered today I had to find something unfinished. Here is a normally unfinished solitaire. K10D and 100mm, ISO 800, 1/8 sec.

I failed on the theme today. The autumn colours are clinging on and I grabbed what was available, while it still is. This has less aberrations than yesterdays K3 & m 135 f3.5

The thread in the box is unfinished because there is still some left. The beers naturally are not unfinished. This was really just a sharpness test of the Vivitar 28mm 1:2 @f9.1 but then I found out there was a topic.

K-3 with Voigtlander Ultron 40mm f2 SL II

This is a bit cheeky, being a composite, but nothing too terrible (just that one of three similar shots had the macaw looking its best, and another had the dude smiling and sharper - so I painted him into the one with the best bird).

This was on the foreshore as we headed in to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney.

Apologies all, this doesn't really fit into the unfinished theme... unlike my attempts to take a photo a day with this lens.
Also, states f/2.8 but this is a lie - it's mounted on a 2x Teleconverter so I think that causes a bit of mayhem with the aperture values.
