I love my Triggertrap -- my iPad is old enough to have a 3.5mm plug, as does my Android phone, of course. I've found that I can include a 3.5mm extension cable in the mix so there's no chance of yanking on it. Heck, I can lay the phone on the ground if I want to. The "bramping" mode is perfect for doing a whole series of arbitrarily-long bulb exposures.
It wasn't just a failed Kickstarter that put them under, in fact the Kickstarter gave them (they thought) plenty of money to bring the product to market . They just had a
perfect storm of vendor fails, poor decisions, and bad luck that killed their effort to produce the coolest standalone triggering device EVAR. I don't know how they went from that to ceasing production on TriggerTrap Mobile, though. Anyone know the rest of the story?
