I knew I would have only short time to image this faint galaxy so I decided to go for it with ISO 1600 and short 180 s exposure time to get enough subs to conquer the noise. I had also thought that there was no color in the "Silver Needle" so ISO 1600 would not do it a harm. But there ist color indeed - orange/yellow in the center and blue in the outer regions. And (again) I did not get the color developed from the Astro Pixel Processor stack and had to use DSS for RGB and APP for luminance.
I caught only 60 good subs which is not optimal for such a faint galaxy for my processing and I hope that maybe I can catch some more tomorrow night. But I do not know if I can shoot tomorrow because returning from my short trip I found that some 12V adapters had fallen off my setup in a thunderstorm and had slipped through the shelter cover into the rain. Hope they work when they are dry again.
This is the result of 2 hours processing with Photoshop:
60 x 180s and ISO 1600 with Pentax K3ii and 130/910 TS Photoline Apo Triplet
