On Flickr a guy I follow mentionned Starnet++ in his workflow. It's a piece of software that removes the stars from an image. Looks like it could be useful.

Here's the image I posted a few weeks ago:
Here's what starnet++ did: (the image is just a short stack totalling a few minutes of exposures and has not been properly calibrated (no darks/flats/bias)
It took 25 min of computation on my old 3rd generation i3 computer running Win7.
Anyone has fiddle with it? Any ideas how to put back the stars?
