But you folks are my astro homies, so I hope you don't mind if I share. I haven't gotten a single successful astro image since February.
This is an hour each of hydrogen-alpha and oxygen-III, 180" subs, on my Stellarvue SV70t-IS and ASI 183MM-Pro. ZWO filters (the "new" ones). Bog-standard Astro Pixel Processor, I hardly touched a slider though I did make use of Remove Light Pollution and Calibrate Background. Man, I love that program! Then it was off to Photoshop to trowel on the Maybellline:
- A Curves layer to heighten the contrast
- Duplicating the Curves layer to double its effect, but masking out everything but dim areas I wanted to emphasize
- Stamp Visible to create a bitmap, then Topaz Denoise 6, then Smart Sharpen
Oh, I guess there was a Hue/Saturation layer in there too (chorus: "Gee, Rick, ya
think?").

astrobin page, if you're interested.
