I just saw a documentary that showed Vancouver Sun reporter and Greenpeace activist Bob Hunter using an Asahi 6x7 non-MLU camera. He was an anti nuclear, anti whaling activist many years ago. I believe he was one of the founders of Greenpeace.

Yep I also saw that documentary on TV. I like the part where he was shooting his 6x7 from a zodiac, standing while it was moving!

Yeah, I've used my non lock up 6x7 on boats in the tropics, so I can relate. Really need 400 speed film to do that.

Yep, 400 ISO for non tripod work as well.

... and 400 ASA (in 6X7) looks like 100 ASA (in 35mm) in prints (70x60 cm)—nice and smooth ... I tried to find it (the video) on youtube but didn´t

Yeah I see that it's not, looks like you have to stream it for a cost?
This is the name of the film:

Spotted a Pentax 67II and possibly a 645 in the preview of this upcoming "Photographing Africa" documentary on Knowledge Network. (You can also see a red Pentax camera strap as well.)
The second BBC link shows the back of the 67ii mounted on a tripod in the clip section.

I'm so glad to see people still using this system.
I love shooting Germany-- did it in 1989, 1999 and 2009 with my 6x7s.

I watched the "Photographing Africa" documentary last night and the P67II only was shown in the beginning of the show in the photographers studio. His field camera was the original Pentax 645. They blurred the PENTAX on the prism on closeups, but in one scene near the end you can see Pentax 645 on the lens as well as 645 on the camera, also the red Pentax strap was visible numerous times.
One funny part was after taking pictures of some men in a remote African tribe in Kenya, he was explaining to them (while holding a roll of 120 film) that he had to take this back to London to get processed before they can see any pictures!
Well worth watching if you are a film lover and Pentax medium format user.
Phil.
