...since my local Stuporstore 'photo studio' boutique closed just before xmas, had been doing all my c-41 dev+scan to cd @ $5/roll (which they purportedly sent out to Fuji's facility in Mississauga). Really good quality for a rock-bottom low price. Anyhow, they closed. So today I dropped off an HP5 and Superia 400 to downtown camera, will pick up in a week. Higher prices*, quicker turn around, we'll see about the quality.

*though the b+w has same price for 36x roll, so not so much higher

If you are going downtown anyway I used to frequently use the Shoppers at king and yonge, very cheap and always did a good job (even managed to push process a film or two without issue) c41 only though AFAIK. E-6 and b/w Downtown camera are good (and they do good c41) Aden also does decent work (never really used the henrys service and vistek sends it out . West camera was good at one point been a while since i've been in there though (for printing Colourgenics on Davies have always been very good. sadly my favourite b/w printer closed up (Toronto B&W) he was a master printer

I'm pretty pleased with the scan quality, viz.:

Last films I got were at downtown camera, had both regular chemical processing and a 3 stop push. Push process was expensive, but got high quality TIF scan B&W also. 5MP scans! When I tried C41 at the local store, they charged extra for digital scan and only 600x480 resolution,mi.e. 4x6 inch print. Be careful at the cheap stores
