I just came back from another trip from Dartmouth today. It was sunny but cold until arriving at the pasture; then there was a lot more cloud and still cold. After taking a number of shots, including a series of a crow chasing a hawk, I looked at my LCD screen. There was an important message, "card error". All my photos were gone. I went back to the car and played with the gear. The autofocus was slow, and after receiving the "in-focus" beep, the shutter button would not work, so I put it in munual focus. This seemed to work, but I just checked them on the computer screen and most of the 425 new bird shots are out of focus. This is because the focus was more on infinity than on the bird, now that I can see the photos better on the computer screen.. My Ultra SanDisk 32 GB card was purchased Jan.9,2013, so my 1 year warranty has expired. Damn! Oh Well, Better luck next year. .

That is really too bad. I hope you captured some good shots over the past couple of weeks. That one you posted the other day looks really good.
I will hopefully be heading up there tomorrow but I do not know what time I will be there yet. If I get anything good I will try to post a couple.

I was up there today around 11:00 or so and there was really not much going on. There were 3-4 eagles. It was a nice day to stand around but unfortunately I think that is it for me this year which is too bad.
On a side note I asked a couple of the guys from around there about the feeding. I was informed that they start feeding the eagles everyday a little (maybe a week or more) before the first weekend of the eagle watch. They continue to feed them everyday through the two weeks and then slowly stop feeding them after. Maybe next year I will get to see more action.
