OK people prepare yourself, I went to the Dartmouth Henry's today and as I expected even less Pentax gear than ever. I think they must be trying to get rid of all of there Pentax stuff. Anyway to my amazement there was a brand new 645z under the glass. I asked if I could look at the camera and the let me have a look at it. Unfortunately I didn't have an sd card with me. but before my wife ruined my fun a got to hold the camera and it was nice, comfy with the kit lens. seemed responsive enough, quick to focus (Not blazing). Viewfinder was bright, all in all very nice. I would love to test it for a week, oh well. Maybe Ill go back with an SD card and take some sample shots, if they let me that is. They are generally a pretty friendly store to deal with so you never know. I would love to let my wife try it out for a couple photo shoots, I am sure she could bring that monster to life and show its true potential more than I could.

They probably would take your K5 + lens for trade-it but I doubt it'll be a 1:1 basis!!

If you do some how manage to wrangle a loan of the 645z, I'd love to see some of the pics you or your good lady take.

I went to Henry's yesterday with a SD card, but the 645Z was returned to TO. two days previous. Apparently they brought the camera down for a prospective buyer, who had a change of mind. They were not too interested in bring it back for a possible K5 in trade. ☺

I am pretty confident it is the last one and only I will be seeing.

I too saw the camera there and my salesman joked with me about buying it. I guess Henry's management could have been a little nervous about having such a valuable camera in the store on spec especially after the break-in last weekend.
