Greasewood Flats
is about to be a memory so I decided to pay a morning visit and take some shots of this historic site. Originally a bunk house for the DC ranch it was later used as a sort of convenience store selling ice to residents who were on their way up to Bartlett Lake.
Riding past this entrance was like going through some sort of portal into a different period in time
While my lady and I normally ride the Honda Valkyrie Interstate up to Grease Wood to enjoy a bit of music on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, I thought it more appropriate to take the Magna for this photo session. There were many times in the past when work or other external pressures were bothering me that I rode this Magna or one of its predecessor’s up to Grease Wood when I felt the need to get out of the house and blow off some steam.
Grease Wood was never successfully attacked from the air. Could this be the reason?
