My daughter and I are headed to the
MD Renaissance Festival
tomorrow. Should be a gorgeous day! Anyone else going?

Mike, I may pop up there. My sister in law actually works for it (in the office as a full time job) and she does some of the plays on the weekends. I have my daughters soccer game tomorrow which isn't over until 1:00, so if we are going I will be there around 2:30 or so...

Did you make it by there Mike? We were heading there and got stuck in traffic as it was later in the day. After inching along and it taking 35 minutes to get 2 miles, we decided not to do it today - we will be going tomorrow for the day...

Yeah we arrived right after it opened and even then it took longer than usual to get in. By noon the place had turned into a very large can of sardines. Largest crowd I have ever seen there. No surprise since it was such a beautiful day though. Still had a great time and think I got some good shots. Hope you had fun today.

Just got back - talked to my sister-in-law while we were there and the final number was over 28,000 people yesterday (as counted by ticket purchases), today was another big day; we got there at 8:45 this morning and people were starting to pile in even though it didn't open until 10.
I think I got a few pictures - although there was tons and tons and TONS of great people shots and other things to shoot, it was actually rather hard (well, really hard) getting good subject "isolation" because of the amount of people that was there. Hopefully I can get some processed and post a few later; looking forward to seeing some of yours too...

The crowds definitely made it harder to shoot. You had to be very fast on the trigger and be lucky enough to be ahead of rather than behind your target while they were in a rare gap of humanity. LOL.
28,000 huh? WOW. wonder if that's a record? btw, at $19 a head that's over half a million dollars (though accounting for lower kid prices could bring that down some)... not a bad haul. LOL

I plan to go next saturday, in costume, with a slightly anachronistic Super Graphic.
