With three days of lousy weather arriving tonight I thought I'd grab some redness while it was still bright.



I spent the early part of the morning clearing leaves from the roof. The red part of the ladder struck me as a photo opportunity while cleaning up. The oof red in the background is the lid of the bin where the leaves were dumped, and as a bonus, the porch has a red lantern. The camera just fitted inside the ladder @ MFD.

For day one of the red theme, my initial thought was an old coke bottle in the kitchen, then the sky grabbed my attention and I went a bit over the top with the colour in post. Both on flickr, but I think the sky has won me over.

Not a lot of red in this one, maybe tomorrow. The famous NY Botanical Garden Electric Train Show. 2 miles (@ 3.2 KM) of track. Literally hundreds of units of rolling stock, but what it is really is a vast celebration of the model makers art. All of the buildings, bridges, landmarks, museums etc are all finished in plant material. Nothing that you can see is something other than plant material, even the windows are made from varnished pectin. K-1 with FA 20mm f/2.8

Not overly exciting but it I made it with 8 minutes to spare for day 1.

Day one of December and I'm halfway through my thirty day commitment to shoot with the Olympus E-M5ii / Panasonic-Leica 25mm f:1.4 combo. This is a 10 shot pano- 2 rows of 5 with the camera in portrait orientation... all done before I checked the main discussion thread for the updated theme list. So not much in the way of red today
