Car repair and constant rain kept me at home today, where the tail of a kite made for me by my grand-daughter caught my attention.

It was raining gently this evening so I took the DA 18-55 WR out for the first time in about 2½ months. It felt a bit lightweight after all the older lenses I've been using and I'm not that pleased with the results... They just seem a bit bland although to be fair it was dull and raining...

Suburban Night Sky: It was a bit cloudy tonight so rather than drag the telescope out and encounter frustration I just set the tripod up and took a 15 second exposure from my observing area. The camera is very kind; with the leel of light pollution that I have I can only see at most a dozen stars with the naked eye.
