So, the first day on the new job has come and gone, as has my birthday. These things happen so fast, they make me feel a year older
. Interesting day it was too, learning the modus operandi of the Center, and the excitement of the kids arriving back from their holidays, and in between hearing the wonderful feel-good stories, such as the wonderful folk and friends of the Center that takes these kids to their homes and spoils them in abundance. One such was a threesome, siblings, that have been taken every year, for the last couple of years, by a family. And the hosts extended family joins in on the generosity to give these 3 a splendid time. They were of course too sad to be coming back, (even if they did come with all their new toys and clothes) as it will be another 11 months before the experience something like that again. But reality is reality, and it's back to learning and growing and surviving in a harsh world. Tomorrow it preparation time for school, which re-opens on Wednesday.
Weather shots for today. This old communication tower I will pass every day en route to the center. Today was cloudy and overcast, and the tower enveloped in clouds.
And more drama in the skies at Zoo Lake
