Whoops.. I was too busy in the outdoors to remember the theme. Oh well the day is still young.

I crossed off the final item of my English road trip list with a moving inspection of the Harefield War Cemetery about 30km out of London. Not well known in Australia, it originally featured a hospital built in WWI to treat Australian soldiers wounded at Gallipoli and the Western Front. Over 50,000 ANZAACs were treated. 112 didn't survive and are buried in the cemetery adjoining St Mary's church. Lots of broken lives, but not forgotten.

Quick trip to the Lake District to help my mate celebrate completing the Wainwrights. I was planning on staying for the weekend but the forecast for tomorrow is terrible so I came home. Nice day on the hill with lots of families. Plenty of stops allowed plenty of photography time. K1 with A 24-50

I visited my mom's home town today: Barre, MA. On the way there we stopped by Rutland State park and saw this tree broken by a beaver

This is probably my favorite lens on my K-1. The bokeh is excellent, it balances on the camera very well, it's fast and I really like the DOF. I've got 2 today because I couldn't decide. The first I like because of the sight echoes, the second I like because of the drama between the red bloom and the dark background. More shots on my flickr stream.
