I'm in. Hopefully I get my K-1 next week! Getting a friend for my beloved K-30. Can't wait for better low light performance!

I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how good this camera is.

I certainly hope not, the term groupies doesn't have a good connotations here.

Tex Andrews from Baltimore, MD. Work in DC at the Hirshhorn in Exhibits department, use my Z and now K1 at work alongside the museum's Canon and Nikon stuff when I'm called on to shoot. So, partial pro now. Mostly use my gear for my own artwork. Feel free to contact.

Well I am no longer a groupie or a wannabe.
A spanking new K-1 arrived last Monday, and Wednesday I was able to make a few exposures, then again on Thursday. Awesome camera.
I also see there are a few more members in the group, welcome to everyone!

Have been a member of the group since I joined the Forum in August. iiThe K-1ii is a beastie boy...the crop shots alone were good enough to sell my K-3/ tii and pick up a leftover K-S2 (smaller, good IQ). I going to attach the 18-50mm retractable K-S2 kit lens and see how it performs on the K-1ii. If the results are decent, that will allow me to take the big guy on trips I normally wouldn't because of its size and weight.

Finally got my K1 mark II. I'm looking forward to using it for making 360° panos with the 17mm f4.0 fisheye after using my trusty K5IIs and 10-17mm fisheye for many years. Also, finally using my 3 screw mounts - 28, 50 and 135mm again with great results.

Looking forward to the thread becoming more active. I have been having fun using my K-1 in part as a platform for several different types of medium format lenses--Pentax 645 and 67 as well as several Carl Zeiss Jena lenses.

Further to my message joining the group I can now use my old Taks and finally attempt to test them on a real FF...
I posted some results on the Pentax Lens Reviews for my 28mm f3.5 and 50mm f1.4 and I just finished testing my Takumar Bayonet 80-200mm f4.5 which is not enjoying fantastic reviews so far. I can confirm - as far as I can do so with my limited knowledge in this field - that this lens is quite a keeper since it is sowing very good quality at f11 with a possible 2nd choice at f8.0. Set-up was made to use the lens at 120mm and shoot all apertures from 4.5 to 32 and ISO 100. At 4.5 (wide open) and at the "Dot" setting which seems to be at f5.6 (?) the sharpness is not so good. Diffraction settles in badly at f22 to get worse at f32. In general this lens seems to be a low contrast one showing somewhat flat images before P.P.. The images below are posted via dropbox, one at the original setting, uncorrected in LR, and the other with full corrections applied in LR Classic and I must say the thing is pretty good. All metadata was recorded and maybe others out there could do the same thing with more Takumar and other M42 lenses so we can start seriously using those pieces of magic.
