I wonder how many K100d's are still out there. they don't seem to break! My house has three of them floating around doing good work.

Another nice shot.
As for how many K100 series cameras there are out there. Probably a lot more than folks believe however I suspect the owners are less prone to post the results of their photographic outings because those with newer cameras have belittled the image quality of the earlier cameras.

I had considered upgrading, however, this is a rugged little guy and is a real dependable system. The only issue I have with it (which I cured recently) is that the camera is a battery killer. Recently I purchased four Eneloop 2550 mAh rechargeable batteries which should last a very long time.

It is unfortunate that some Pantaxians do look down their noses at the earlier, less expensive equipment. However, for my needs at my level, I cannot justify paying over two thousand USD for another Pentax Digital Camera and lens combo.
