The 110 reel is available commercially in the Yankee Clipper II developing tank. Frankly I'd like to just get a good tank and drop this reel into it. It's kind of a crappy thing, but it does work, and works well. I've used the Clipper II for B&W developing of 35mm and 110. It's not invertable, but you can stir-agigate and get good results.
As for scanning, I think I'll end up just sitting the negs on the scanbed and going for it, at least initially. I may go ahead and make one of these:

The next challenge to overcome is how to cram some Kodak Ektar or Fuji Provia into one of those little 110 cassettes
