What was the problem with your af/mf selector? Was it stuck in auto focus regardless of position? Mine recently broke and is doing that now. What was the cost to have it repaired?
Hi
I just discovered by chance that in the process of swapping the lenses from a DAL to an M the AF/MF did not work anymore.
I thought it was faulty and did not bother for a while as I always leave it in the AF position.
Solution:
1) Switch ON the Body without the lens and set the dial from M to AUTO
2) Move the switch from MF to AF or viceversa.
3) Switch Off the camera
4) Mount the AF lens with the AF switch in AF position.and the dial in AUTO
5) try few shots and your AF should be working again.
If not remove the lens and turn on the camera and retry from point 2.
This worked in my case saving me to send the camera to assistance.
I hope it helps
