email me (
pjesser@uqconnect.net) for a mudmap. No preference on arrival times, but I will be expecting some other visitors late on the afternoon of the 26th, so morning arrivals would be best. We are about 4 hours from Brisbane (with a quick coffee stop) and 1 1/2 hours from Toowoomba. The last 20 km or so is a bit stony and the road can be rough on vehicles with very low profile tyres. Carry water. Mobie phone coverage is dodgy to non-existent.
We have a fair bit of Aboriginal archaeology on the place (old campsites with stone tools, earth ovens, scarred trees, etc) which is all protected by Commonwealth and State law. I am not suggesting that this archaeology is the main attraction for our Pentax users (although I would be happy to show and explain some of it), but by agreement with the traditional owners (the Kambuwal people) we like to limit visitors to groups of about 4 people. We could do a short walk (about 2 km) which takes in a few of the sites, rocky creek bed, riparian bush etc.
Ring Wednesday night (4652 1367) if you would like to clarify anything.
