Hello fellow wildlife shooters,
I just took another look through the competition gallery - it is so massive it's scary!
One thing strikes me: The wildlife shots tend to have fewer views, likes and comments than many other categories, such as street photography. I am thinking I did wrong in choosing a bird photo for my own entry: Birds might be what I love best myself in terms of photo motifs, but the audience is limited. So, in order to have OUR photographic niche covered, I have tried filtering the entry threads for "category nature" and nominating some of my own favourites there.
Of course the all time high scorer so far IS a nature photo: Darell Raw's excellent "King of the Castle" - but a lot of the other nature shots have rather few likes and comments. And some of them do deserve it. (Not ONLY pitching my own here, honestly!
)
So - if you would like the wildlife-contributions in that gallery to receive a bit more attention, please go look at them!
