I took these on April 6, 2015 along the CSX Railroad's Chicago Line in Syracuse, New York. I saw quite a bit of Canadian power!
I used a FA 28-200 lens for these. First time trying it out. Got it real cheap a few months ago on eBay. Too bad the weather clouded over!
Thanks for looking!
This shot was taken with a DA 16-45.
Amtrak Train 281 from New York City to Niagara Falls.
Amtrak Train #64 The Maple Leaf from Toronto to New York City.

Are any lines in the USA electrified other than commuter lines? The BART system in SFO is electric and reasonably long, but I don't know if there's any intercity or country lines which are electric? I recall seeing a commuter train on the west side of San Francisco Bay somewhere in the vicinity of Palo Alto which was diesel.

The former SP CalTrain service from SFO to San Jose via Palo Alto is diesel hauled.
Outside of the NYC area, I can't think of any electric commuter train service other than MARC (Baltimore/Washington) and SEPTA (Philadelphia) Northeast Corridor runs.
