Reason could be that the lid is not fitted to the body tight enough. Are you sure that there is no mechanical actuator or pressure switch?

nothing in the literature about a mechanical actuator switch
loose fit couls be a posiibility, but not much i can do about that, except to tape it up after i load a film
been there with my old original ME when it began leaking light in through the rear door
no such problems with the digital data back, so it would seem to be fitting correctly

good suggestions

any other ideas on how to make a Digital-Data-Back actually imprint the date?

Hiya Folks! An ex-Pentaxian here.

I had quite a few things repaired at the Camera Clinic while Laurie was working there and he always did a stupendous job. Now that he is gone (or almost gone) I am not so keen on the place.

Does anyone have his coordinates or alternatively another well-qualified person, like the aforementioned Yoshi?
