*Macro* lens club

There is a lens club for all the lens classifications and brands, there's even the Raynox macro club, but none yet dedicated to *dedicated* macro lenses.

So let's see what your classic macro lenses can do. Bring out your Voightlander 125mm macros, your FA* 200 macros, your Lester-Dine macros and your Sigma 180mm macros and show the forum their capabilities.

Starting off, here's some samples from the trusty FA 100 f/2.8 macro:

I was going to suggest that initially but forgot to include it in the first post:
All shots taken with the macro lens are welcome, not just close-up macros!

A portrait with the FA 100/2.8 macro:

Holy Macro!

These shots are amazing!!! Great idea Ash! Was the protrait taken in natural light, ring-flash, normal flash? there seem to be some fill-in but can't detect which... In any case, it is an awesome candid! And those eyes! Man!

Can anyone tell me if they had a chance to compare the older FA 100/2.8 to the newer D-FA 100/2.8 WR? Is it the same optical formula? I have a Sigma 70/2.8 EX, which is extremely sharp, but I am looking for something a bit longer for bugs... I am hesitating between the FA and D-FA, wondering if the extra cost of WR is worth it. If it is sharper though, I might splurge...
Thanks.
Gene

This is a great idea Ash! Amazing no one thought of it before!
Is it OK to post also some lens porn, I mean photos both with and of macro lenses?
Is is striktly for 1:1 macro lenses, or are older 1:2 macros welcome as well?

Sure, photos of macro lenses are also good for the thread (didn't think of that), as long as they're sexy images of your lenses, otherwise it wouldn't be lens porn.

All dedicated macro lenses are OK - so that includes the 1:2 varieties.

From the FA 100/2.8 macro again:
