I haven't had any sunshine to take sample photos with my longer off brand lenses! I think I will also have get out of the city to get the range needed. Be patient and I will get it done.

A couple from my WW-I era Bausch-Lomb Tessar Series 1c mounted on Pentax bellows.

For the kitty, I saved an un-resized version from the K100D:

Here is a J.C. Penny 28-80mm f3.5 with no edits other than adding a border. This lens was charity from a forum member.

Bit of contrast added

The Lenmar RX-7 85-210mm

This is at 1:3 macro with the "toy camera" digital effect of the K-7

Osawa 70-210 F4-5 Macro

I like this Osawa lens, for a host of reasons. It is equally sharp throughout its range, is a pleasure to manually focus and has dead accurate colors. It has macro capabilities, though they are awkward, excellent bokeh and is small and light--great in a hiking bag. Here is a shot @ 210mm, no PPing.

So we can expect that review sooner rather than later then?

The bokeh and slightly muted but neutral colour looks very much like what I used to get from this lens on a Mamiya ZE-X (film body).

This Indecision's Buggin' Me

Should it stay or should it go? (That is rhetorical, actually. Advice is really something you seek when you already know the answer)

More use of the Lenmar RX-7. These are unedited; merely resized and framed.
1:3 macro. These four were shot with the K10.

This one has slight adjustments to contrast and was shot with the K-7

My collection in this focal range is growing. I photograph mainly for my standards and pleasure. I am pretty thrifty and frugal and perhaps that shows. But I do need to shed a few lenses soon. It's not an addiction; it's more like t-shirts. You certainly do not wear the same t-shirt three days in a row. You should have others.

Ooooo I like that lens. I probably missed it's focal length and f stop range but I still like your photos.
Also I do enjoy "Rush"

Those are pretty impressive photos. If the lens works well for your style of shooting and if you like the build and handling, there is no reason to let it go. If you NEVER use it, regardless of how excellent it may be, there is really no reason to keep it unless you simply enjoy the pride of ownership.

Steve

(Have several lenses that fall into the second category...no desire to sell though...they are too pretty...)

I have a couple of m42 lenses in the category and 3 or 4 k-lenses in this category. I have a pre-set Soligor 35mm and a Vivi 300 that I'm on the fence about. I have 3 different 35mm Taks which keeps the Soligor on the bench hoping to get in the game. I also have a Tammy 180mm with the ES m42 AD2 mount that keeps the Vivi on the bench and a 150mm or 200mm Tak off the team.

All of which at its MFD except the first, wideopen at F/2.8
