details of a mayfly, photos were shot with the sigma 105 mm and raynox DCR 150/250.
Male mayfly because the enlarged compound eyes are at top head of the insect (only males got enlarged eyes).
In french language we call this eyes, eyes in turban because of the shape of them.
I didn't remember which photos were shot with the 150 and which were shot with the 250.
I used the macro position (1:1) of my sigma 105 mm with both raynox lens to get the higher magnification.
So it's not macrophotography but microphotography.
The size of the insect is about 3 cm (between 1 1/5, 1 1/6 inches) long without the tails and legs (only body).
