I like how you composed your foreground here. If it were me I would be force to frame only the building and end up with an uninteresting photo. But your photo is beautifully taken.

Yes Chester, you should go, it's a nice place and don't forget to shoot the light house.

You folks never cease to astound me with how well you use this lens, and though I don't post as often as I like, the pictures in this thread continue to be my favorites. Well done.

I've had very little time to enjoy shooting lately, but have gotten in a couple hikes. Found some very unusual (to me) fungi which I think are dryad's saddles, and twisted myself into knots trying to find an angle that would emphasize them. The light was tough, giving me strange color in this one, so I converted to monochrome. Here's one view:

The bulbous base of the lower fungi is about the size of a small cantaloupe. And here's a different view of more from the same tree:

Sometimes I find that I cannot resist the starbursts. I must unleash them.

Beautiful Disco.
I haven't been to Sydney for about 35 years and the bridge, the opera house and Bondi beach are still my favorite memories. I wish they were lit up like your photo when I was there.

Thank you Brian. Unfortunatly The vivid festival only spans for 2 weeks in a year. This year has been the most colorful I have seen it.As a Sydneysider I think it should go on for a lot longer. It is almost impossible to get a clear shot with all the crowd around as everyone is out to get a glimpse before it's over..from memory I think this is the 5th year running.

Ah, Vivid, one of the few things about Sydney that I miss, having now moved down to Melbourne.
