Tamron 18-250mm samples

Bought this as a walkabout lens and am surprised by the image quality.

Glad you like them. I debated on this purchase due to the somewhat mediocre rep of the lens. After using it for a day, I plan on keeping it. The convenience and decent image quality makes it a great travel/walk around lens

Excellent pictures, this lens I used to have is indeed very good. Did you post process the bokeh in any of these shots (especiallhy # 3, 8, 10 ?). I don't think it did distant bokeh and tree limbs as well as these pictures show, portrait bokeh was excellent.

Yeah, those 3 were touched up. As you stated, portrait is excellent. The bokeh is a bit ruff at long focal lengths where tree limbs n stuff are concerned. Still, its a surprisingly good and very useful travel/walk around/do-it-all lens. With a bit of post processing, images improve even more

A few months old, but I'm just now going through the Fall pictures and I thought this was a good example of this lens' landscape capabilities.

I used this lens for 6 years as the only lens on my K100D Super. These photos are all jpgs straight from the camera (some cropped but no PP).
