Hello everyone. I am new to internet forums & to Pentax, so please be patient with me. I've been a Nikon shooter since 1992, but that could change depending on how this K-1 works out. Nature & wildlife photography in the desert southwestern US is my main photo thing. Now living in Yuma, AZ., and finding that there is a lot for me to explore around here that I was previously unaware of. I've been viewing this forum for awhile and have to say that I enjoy the member photos here very much & I hope to share some photos that you will find interesting as well.

About Me

Born in 1956 in Pennsylvania & moved to AZ in 1966. Was mechanic by trade until I was hired at the General Motors Desert Proving Ground in Mesa, AZ in 1982. Hiking & backpacking in the desert southwestern US led me to purchase my first SLR. A Nikon F3HP & a couple used lenses. Acquired a second body & several lenses over the next 10 years by selling matted & framed 20X30 Ilfachrome prints to local businesses. Moved to Yuma in 2007 when GM moved their proving Ground there.
