I did buy and sell a couple of lenses recently. Hard right now to sell lenses especially Pentax stuff. Thinking that this new craze mirrorless cameras is taking all of the money and air. A friend of my sister's, the one she went to Yellowstone with last year was at sis's house a week ago and we were chatting and so she got out her Canon, she has pissed away over 6K on lenses alone, now after all of that she isn't too much in love with mirrorless. But she said she's got so much invested in it already that she is feeling stuck, she sold off her "OLD" Canon cameras when she got this one so she doesn't have that to fall back on now.
Anyway I wasn't very impressed with her setup. I will just hang onto my old floppy mirror Pentax!

I saw that about a month ago as I was interested in maybe taking it off of his hands, however that "thing" scared me away. I am baffled as to what it could be. At first I thought it was fungus but I really have not ever seen fungus look like that, to bright colored and white doesn't fit the profile of a fungus, or not any I've seen in a lens before. It looks like a fracture in the lens starting on the inside. How it could start to fracture like a windshield but inside is beyond me. When you blow it up though it does appear to be similar to fungus, like there are filaments branching out like a fungus.
What's your take on it?

He has a pic of the front of the lens with a "thing" on it and asking if anyone would know what it is.
Care to guess? Perhaps you will have the answer.
