Thanks Mike. My wife and I think your photography is top notch and an inspiration. We follow you on Flickr too.

Great work Mike and very skillful post-processing. How you found this place near Southern Shasta sounds like another great story by itself...

Wonderful pano, Mike. But the foggy-dingy's my favorite.
I knew that beach too.

MIke,
I noticed you have a few picts posted on the lick observatory flickr page ( at least I assume its you). Is that you? I work there as a lead staff member during the summer public viewing events. The last 2 years we have offered 2 nights for photo events where we allow 20-30 photographers to come up to the mountain and kinda take over. have you ever been to one? if its something you are interested in, keep an eye on the public viewing page of the lick website.
anyway, if you interested, let me know. I hope this message is not out of place, just nice to see someone who appreciates astronomy and telescopes and the like as optical as well as photography subjects. if you want more access, just volunteer to work 2 nights min in a season and you get to hang around after the public leaves and use the scopes for our own use. we even get to hook up our cameras to the 40 inch scope and use that as a lens!

Hi Mike! Excellent Work! Have you any updates on your 150~450mm review? I use the K3ii as well and trying to gather info. Your thoughts are appreciated. Btw, it’s -22f here in Wis, so no urgency. :-). Thanks! .....jeff
